A Level 10 Meeting (or “L10”) is the weekly leadership meeting at the heart of EOS, the Entrepreneurial Operating System. It runs 90 minutes, on the same day at the same time every week, with a fixed agenda — and it ends with every attendee rating the meeting from 1 to 10 out loud. The name is the target: a meeting the room consistently scores a 10.
The agenda
- Segue (5 min) — each person shares personal and business good news. It starts the meeting human.
- Scorecard (5 min) — read the weekly numbers: on track or off track. Off-track numbers are “dropped down” to the issues list, not discussed yet.
- Rock review (5 min) — each quarterly Rock is called on track or off track. Off track drops down.
- Customer & employee headlines (5 min) — short good or bad news from customers and the team.
- To-do list (5 min) — last week's to-dos: done or not done. EOS targets 90% done.
- IDS (60 min) — the heart of the meeting: the issues list is prioritized and worked top-down using Identify, Discuss, Solve.
- Conclude (5 min) — recap new to-dos, decide what cascades to the wider team, and rate the meeting 1–10.
Why it works
Three mechanics do the heavy lifting. The first hour of most leadership meetings is unstructured status; the L10 compresses all reporting into 25 minutes by banning discussion outside IDS — problems get named early and solved in one dedicated block. Second, the rating creates a feedback loop: a meeting that scores 7 becomes its own agenda item. Third, the rhythm is non-negotiable — same day, same time, every week — which is what turns a meeting into an operating system.
